I am almost finished making a deal with someone to get a 02' audi tt 1.8t quattro for 12.5k w/ 68k miles on it.

Is this a good deal?

I heard that the 1.8t engine starts having a lot of problems after 60k miles, is this also true?

Any help would be great.

The price is right but you will be needing your timing belt replaced very soon if it has not been done yet. That will likely set you back around $800 unless you do the work yourself or get a really good deal. Most other problems people run into are cosmetic or minor.
