well a standard BOV is not recommended for our cars, the 1.8t is a recirculating system so the boost should be recirculated instead of released wish in turn would hurt the performance and even stall the car in standstill. you could get a hybrid forge bov/dv which in turn only releases 10% which in turn should have a nice sound to it. however i recommend you put a forge DV p007 plus an intake and you would have the same sound but without affecting performance.

I have an after market dv & recently installed a modshack intake, the difference in sound is immense! Not too aggressive but noticable so I'd go down that route personaly

i would have to agree with you, BOV is just not worth it for me. i have a bmc cda air intake plus forge dv and i couldnt be happier both sound wise and performance wise

you can use a bov if you want. I have an HKS brand new for sale. $150 goes for around 300 on ECS tuning...funny enough they sell them in the vw/audi 1.8T section

if you want the sound of a bov, there isn't a better choice out there!
