Are you in Limp mode? My light comes on if i forget to plug in MAF sensor or if my boost hits too hard, pull the negative terminal off, but make sure you have your radio code.

limp is when the ecu goes into a "safe" mode if you boost too much or something along those lines

^ my ESP/ABS light turns on intermittenly.

if we both have the same symptoms, then it's NOT limp mode. you will feel the drastic decrease of power in limp mode. i mean if you're completely stock and not running an MBC, then i would highly doubt u got into limp mode.

the only mention of the lights being turned (ABS/ESP) on in the manual, states that your rears will lock up under heavy breaking and 'must be checked and repaired at your local audi dealership'.

You could try taking a look at your wheel speed sensors. They're magnetic, and pick up junk off the roads until it clouds the signal. I've had that throw a ABS light (no ESP for me). All it takes is some pressurized air to blow the debris away.
