Default Car is almost done!

Was hoping to have it back last night, but the guys brother/partner walked out on him, with a bunch of tools/money, so he was a little distracted with the accountant/cops. Really hoping for monday afternoon.

I'll tell ya, if ever you need your TT worked on and you're in central NY, Barnetts in Gloversville is a hell of a place to go.

He's eating my $500 deductable for me, he's repairing and paintingmy rear diffuser for free (which wasn't even on the car at the time of the accident), and threw out most of the insurance companys requests for recycled parts for new parts instead. Not to mention, he's a hell of a painter. Oh yeah, since he's had the car longer than he expected, and my 30 day rental from the insurance ran out monday, he's picking up the tab from that point, until I have my car back.

Been giving me pointers on painting/buffing too. Oh, and the diffuser... going with a carbon/graphite color. I may end up doing something sorta along the lines of what I had with my photoshop paintjob, who knows. At least the diffuser will be that color...

Pretty cool guy, bum deal with his brother taking **** and all....

Said I can come back anytime I'm around and he'd let me shoot some paint to get some practice, doesn't even have to be my car. I'm definately gonna try to take him up on that. You can learn a bunch online, but not everything can be taught thru a computer screen. I've done alright with the painting I've done, but its been a good amount of luck.

Actually, he was quite frank about that, saying that although the insurance company allows so much money for parts, he'll still try to get them cheaper if possible and pocket what extra he can.

Not so much on my car though, as its turned out to be more than he expected, and he said its a nice change from the usual camrys and accords, more or less, shitty cars in general. Says he likes working on mine, and he gave up on making money off it weeks ago, its all about getting it right.

More or less, he's a true car guy, working on a car he appreciates, and that's worked out well for me.
