Default is this the car for me?

i want some good honest advice.i have had my tt for 1.5 yrs now.wasn't really that familier with the audi brand before buying it.was mostly taken with the styling and the way it drives.i really do love the car.
however with the timing belt issue that has come about and reading of some of the issues some people are having .i would like to know if i can expect lots of expensive problems from this car?? 53k on it now. only drive it 7k a year.i don't run the car hard. just mainly sunday drives in the country sort of thing.between now and 100k am i likely to encounter a string of issues?sounds like you all on this site would be the ones to ask.

Engine wise no. If you do plan on keeping the car for a while get an extended warranty.
The car does have a few electrical problems for example the cluster, door open switch, and other little things.
All in all dont worry about it just enjoy your ride

Just remember that this forum is here to help people that have problems, so of course you will see plenty of problems listed. Many cars have only small issues outside or the normal maintence stuff (oil, plugs, o2, tb) and if you take the time to search, you can find that a $1500 dealer charge can be done yourself in a few hours with basic hand tools and only spend $50-200 on the part(s).
