Is there any purpose of these besides the leg rest? When i was installing my radio I had taken them off to get around easier and i think it looks pretty sexy without them.

 

you dont really need them but the dash could possibly start making a little noise now from twisting.

 

Ive had them off for a couple weeks now. I havent noticed any new noises tho so thats good. I hate them damn creaks, squeeks and whatever other horrible noises this car makes lol. I do like it alot better tho. More room to stretch and that is a must since i am 6'3 at the age of 17...i really hope i dont get taller lol...

There is a bunch of flex in the dash after those are removed, if it doesn't squeak now, I woudn't be suprized if it didn't start eventually.
