central locking system and dome lights problem!
 

Ok so my central locking system does not work. I can't lock my car from the inside and also my dome lights and visor lights dont work either, but that's only when my doors are closed. If I open either of my doors they do turn on but other wise they don't. Anyone with the same problem? FYI I have checked the fuses.
I'm open to any suggestions. Thanx for the help

Run VAG-Com first to see if there are any faults noted.

ok i know going to auto zone is not the same as a vag-com, but they checked for codes and nothing..

Now, I am just trying to figure out what that thing in front of my Central Locking Unit is supposed tobe (it's not there).

ok with the sent lock...are you trying to lock the doors with the doors open??...because you CAN NOT. lock the doors with that and get out. you have to lock your car with your Key/remote

no i cant lock or unlock my doors when im inside the car with the doors closed. And on top of that my remote lock does not work either. But i will try to find a central locking system. Thanks for the help TTravis and everyone else..i will update

reset your key remote theres instructions in the owners manual

i did but it wont work..i tried replacing the batteries on the remote as well..so my next step is to replace the central control module

well what in the hell did you do!!! ;) theres been a few ppl that have had this problem and they reset there key and it was all good.!
you can lock it with the key right? not the remote... but the key?
