Changed the Oil, Replaced the Dog Bone Mounts.
I know this has been covered before, but I just wanted to post and vent about how messy it is to change the oil in my TT. No matter what I do, whenever I take off the old oil filter, old oil seems to get pooled up in some crevice on the engine block, and old oil (not new) drips for up to 24 hours after I change the oil. So Annoying! (I also always replace the drain plug).
This time, while I was under there I installed the Energy Suspension dog bone mounts. What an improvement!! . Next on my list are shock, springs and a camber kit.
The dogbone mount stops the engine from moving front and back. With mine it completely stopped wheel hop and shifts a little easier. Its a simple install. You just unbolt the mount and then clamp it down and undo the center mount and then swap mounts and reassemble. I couldnt hold my mount still so i had my sister role her car tire on it and it worked well

The bushings were a very inexpensive upgrade, only like $17, and make a big improvement. I have much smoother accelerations from stop and like cincy said, very little wheel hop. My wife says the car is actually easier for her to drive now.I also used my other car as a vice for the dogbone..I saw that idea in an installation guide I read a while back
Big wad of really absorbant paper towel tucked between the oil filter plate, and the block makes a huge difference. Catch what spills from unscrewing the filter, and then replace to catch what drains from the plate. I rarely ever get drips after I'm finished.
