What is the program/ equipment i would need to do reprograming/ reflash by myself with the assistance of my friend that owns a shop is it Vag-com? Also what is the differance between the chip and the module that will do the programing for you?

 

there is no self flashing stuff. You can use vagcom to adjust timing and fuel thats about it with vag besides clear/read codes and make graphs.
