Default Clearing P0420 code and ECU "readiness"

Anyone know how long it takes the ECU to return to ready after installing an o2 spacer and clearing codes? I have to get emissions tested soon and don't have a Vag-com to force the ECU to be ready for the OBDII test. Thanks in advance-

Usually about a day of driving, less probably, but I usually give it 24 hours before I go back and check if its reset or not. Just go for a nice cruise, let the car get up to temp for a while, and you should be set. Thats more or less 'a drive cycle'.

Make sure you do city and highway driving. It will also take at least a couple of those cylces to set readiness.

not even. Theres no such thing as city driving where I'm from in NY, I usually go for a cruise and call it good.

youcan manually force readiness test by switching to measuring blocks and then to do basic settings adapting on blocks 070-077. do one at a time in order.
