I think they are totally going to miss the mark if theybadge both cars as a celica.

I think they should make the AWD version a Celica, and market it as an AllTrac.

The RWD version should be built under 2700 lbs, and should be marketed as an AE86 variant (conveniently leaving out the corolla heritage), and capitalize on it's cult status as a drift car.

holy ****.

i have found my new car. looks like i'll be holding onto the TT much longer til that car comes out. you fools, a stock GTS can kill most of theTT's on the highway. the tranny + VVTL-i + light-weight chassis kills the 1.8T platform on the freeway.

TT can put up big numbers, but means nothing to power/weight ratio.

They did, what do you think was in their old rally cars? BTW, they were turboed also. Clipse, the ONLY TT that the GTS should beat is a 180awd.

What??!! You are on crack...I had a 2000 Celica GTS with 5Zigen Exhaust and AEM CAI and it was NOTHING compared to my TT, ESPECIALLY on the highway. True, the VVTL-i is nice, but nothin' compared to a turbo!

here is my old celi:

I was really active with newcelica.org. I miss her sometimes, not as much though sinceI got my TT . I had her for 3 years beforeI traded her in on a 03 VW Beetle convertible, which I no longer have either LOL.

I know.

That was my point, they should go back to their roots with the marketing. That's why I said AllTrac, cause thats what the turbo awd celicas were.

Edit: They weren't just rally cars, they were in production, and street legal.
