Year 2000 TT's have optional ESP, no spoiler and stiffer bushings (better handling). 2001 have standard spoiler and ESP, the suspension was softened up to be more forgiving to driver error at high speeds. Recall TT's would be 2000 models that had their suspension modified to the softer set up. DEFCON bushings use a metal insert to mimic the original suspension set up of the 2000 tt's.

i went koni on my tt, i like to do some city driving in it. koni has a lower spring rate vs bistien and waay lower than stasis. i recently removed a stasis kit from a friends a4 and went to bilstien because it was too harsh. vmaxx, kw, and fk are al low quality coilovers.

these two kits are the same by the way.
they both include:

4 KONI Cadmium Plated Adjustable Dampers
4 KONI Progressive Rate Springs
UHMW Spring Perch Bearings

Yes, STaSIS is included KONI's part.

So, should just get KONI's coilover or get the STaSIS?

but the springs are still koni's right?

so if i get it right, both have:

4 KONI Cadmium Plated Adjustable Dampers ---> same for both Koni and STaSIS
4 KONI Progressive Rate Springs ---> Koni brand springs, but STaSIS uses stiffer ones.
UHMW Spring Perch Bearings ---> same for both brands.

so why its called STaSIS with they share the same thing?

so higher spring rate is better?

the CEO of STaSIS and CEO of hotchkis setup a gtg here at a local dealership and the CEO of STaSIS was actually a race car driver for 10 years. he knows what he sells isn't on the cheaper side, but they're the utmost quality. even gave us a demo on his new MKII TT (which actually beat the Cayman S on the track) and it was crazy.

so if you have the funds, get STaSIS. if not, i'd go with the VMAXX's.

higher spring rate isnt neccesarily better. there is such thing as being too stiff for your streets. dont get me wrong, i love stasis, any company that races with there products get the thumbs up from me any day. i wouldnt go vmaxx though, its a lock it will blow. like i said i went koni on my car, if my local roads were better i would have gone bilstein. i guess im getting old and i personally wouldnt use stasis for anything less racing. and i mean that, if i were to build a race car or auto cross car this would be my first choice.
