coilover questions...fwd on quattro?
So I'm making the appointment to get my stasis/koni coilovers put on and i realized that i was sent the fwd coilover kit instead of the quattro kit. I got in touch with the company i purchased it from who in turn contacted stasis about the situation. Here is what they said:
"Hi Michael, I talked to Stasis about your situation today, they said
that it will be fine to install the coilovers you received as the only
difference is a slight change in the bumpstops, you should have no
issues whatsoever using that kit. If you have any questions I will be
happy to answer them as would Jason at Stasis.
Thank you very much,"
Can anyone verify this information?
Thanks

RE: coilover questions...
Its up to the place you ordered the coilovers from to ensure they send you the right parts. You shouldn't have to compromise because of their mistake. Especially considering this is no small investment...get it done right!
Also, let me know how they come out, I'm looking at this set up come spring.

RE: coilover questions...fwd on quattro?
I just Installed a coil over kit last weekend myself and haveing looked at several sets and all ..... i would double check the part numbers on the actual parts between the 2 kits.
I know on my 2000 quattro the rear is a completely different set up than the fwd the fwd uses a strut in the rear that runs strait up and down (more or less) and the Quattro uses a shock that runs at a 45 degree angle to the rear from the bottom at the swaybar mount.
that is why Quattro's don't have rear strut mounts.
but Maybe the stasis kit is completely different set up....I would check on it ifI were you. OR insist they send you the right parts personally.
