Default Correct height of Wind Deflector?

I just purchased a 2001 TT 225 hp convertible. The Wind Deflector goes up and down smoothly and is perfectly level. The problem is, I have no idea what the correct height of the Wind Deflector should be when it's fully extended?? The center section (horizontal section) of my Deflector goes up only 3" above the housing that holds/stores it. Does this sound correct? I can't find any documentation on any forums about how high the Wind Deflector should extend when it's fully raised. Hopefully, another owner of the same make and model can 'enlighten' me. Thanks, Bill

My 2004 roadster's wind deflector measures 5 1/4" from the top of it's housing to the straight middle edge when it's up. 3" inches seems low.
