Couple quick questions..
So I'm out for the weekend and have a couple easy questions to clear up some thoughts..
1. How hard is it to inatal a TIP? I'm nervous about doing it..
2.when I get my chip, how long do I have until I have to get new plugs, I want to get it done in the week but can't change the plugs for a couple days.
3. I'm interested in some Dogbone mounts sinse I'm stock suspension, how hard is it to instal as well ?

1) not that hard, just can be a pita. If you can get under the car and get another hand, it helps
2) just gap your current plugs down (.028) and you will be fine
3) very easy. if you have a vise its cake, if not, you need to get creative. I parked another car on top of it to free the long end bolt and reinstall.

Alright, all sounds good. When I get home ill look at some DIYs about each instal. I asked a local shop how much to do the TIP sinse I might not have time before I get it chipped, or the plugs.
Also how much of a difference will I tell from the dogbone mounts?
I like the idea of helping when shifting, but will this also help reduce vibration when I hit hihg speeds? Hitting 90+ mph the whole car can start to shake! Its not that much of a smooth ride to say the least! If dogbones won't help, what will ?
And if i get the dogbone mount, will i have to replace the motor mounts too ?

The TIP is a pain in the ***, but it's doable. Just be patient, and don't be afraid to cut your old **** out of the way. *Very important with the TIP install*, make sure you seal everything up tight. I didn't snug down all my connections, and had a little bit of a leak.
As for the dogbone, you notice it a little. It just smooths it out the transfer of the cars momentum. I had a little bit of vibration, but it went away after a couple days. And no, I can't see why you would have to change motor mounts. Both are good mods. But like everything else that we do, the advantages can be barely noticeable at times.

When you're ready to install the new turbo inlet, spray the end thats gonna clamp onto the turbo with WD-40. It'll help it slide onto the turbo easier, but it won't be long before it drys out, so it won't be slippery later and slide off (doubt that'd happen anyway) even if your clamp isn't totally tight.
Used to use the same trick with handle bar grips on my quad.. or spray paint... slippery when wet, but when it dried, there was no way the grip was sliding off. You had to cut them free.

Well does anyone have a good DIY for the TIP install, and one for the dogbone mount?
Revo has their chip for 399 and I want it asap, I just need good directions.... And the pipe !!
When I get the dogbone mount, don't laugh, how many do I need ?

Well does anyone have a good DIY for the TIP install, and one for the dogbone mount? Like asking for a DIY on putting gas in your car. its that easy. unplug stuff from the old turbo inlet, remove it, install new one, plug stuff back into it.
Revo has their chip for 399 and I want it asap, I just need good directions.... And the pipe !! Directions for the chip? Are you sending your ECU in, or having a local place flash the car? If a local shop does it, you dont need to do anything more than hand them money, and then go romp on your car. If you're making your car stationary while you mail your ecu out to get flashed, you'll need to look for tips on removing the ECU from the car. (hint: pull your windshield wiper arms off for more access)
When I get the dogbone mount, don't laugh, how many do I need ? One kit.

powerflex has the 2 piece kit, you dont need to do the third piece like the Energy Sys kit has. should probably replace the stretch bolts, right below it on the page.
Dude, grow a pair and jump in. Just take your time & save yourself the labor rate. Someone at a shop will rape you if they get the opportunity.
The dogbone mount comes in 3 pieces. Only 2 are used. The round barrel shaped one(for the trans I believe)isn't recommended to use becAuse of "excessive vibration". The other two are easy to figure out. This is assuming you have the slightest bit of mechanical ability.
