What about the Forester xst? the same 2.5T in the sti. I have seen cobb or some company making 400awhp and sitting about 2" off the ground. I wouldnt mind having that as my "other" car.
Yeah that's the one I'm talking about. They run low 14's stock. With 3k in mods you're running low 13's. My roommate has a Legacy GT and he made 270whp on 91 octane and a 110 degree day. He has a turbo-back, lightweight pulley, perrin tmic, intake and a tune. Those engines have quite a bit of potential.

I don't really want to pay the costs of owning 2 cars though. We already have 4 cars at the house we're renting anyways and another 1 would just add to the crowd.

Here's the Forester I've been thinking about buying... but I'm waiting on another commission check so I can just pay cash if I decide to get it. He's looking for $18,000.

The car was just retuned on 103 octane race gas and made 411 whp and 400 ft-lbs. Car makes 334 whp and 320 ft-lbs on a conservative pump gas tune.

Car has 32K miles on it, probably only about 5k in the last year. I used to commute 50 miles round trip the first 2 years of ownership.

Power Mods:
Cobb AP V1 with Riftswrx (Jorge) Protune
FP Green turbo
Turbosmart external wastegate on custom uppipe
Grimmspeed hiflo crossover pipe
STI ported manifolds
Helix catless downpipe
MadDad 3 inch catless midpipe
WBR 3 inch axleback
Perrin BigMaf
Perrin Modded injectors
Perrin turbo inlet (non-collapsing)
WBR black FMIC
STI takeoff struts/springs
STI rear sway
STI lateral links
GM Boost Solenoid
ACT clutch
Kartboy Short shifter and bushing
Racing Sparco 18 inch NS6F Cheetah wheels w/ new Kumho Ecsta ASX 225/40/18s

Interior
Kenwood Excelon KDC-X679 headunit with Sirius tuner
Old School (circa 1994) Rockford Fosgate 400x4 (4x50) grill style amp
Old School (circa 1995) Rockford Fosgate 200x2 (2x100) grill style amp
CDT EF 6.5 separates in the front doors
CDT 5.5 coaxes in the rear doors
8 inch kicker solobaric in box under pax seat
Scanmaster in Forester din pocket under head unit
http://fullthrottlespeed.com/itemdes...RX~eq~~Tp~.htm

Clear Bra and tint all around.

OEM trailer hitch.

Problems/defects - there are a few small dings in the typical Subaru paint. The tint on the front doors is slightly lifting around the bottom corner. Since the tint is 20%, the tint might need to come off anyway to pass inspection in the buyers state. I can probably get it replace under warranty but will wait until a buyer decides.
The hood piece on the clear bra has a very slight curling on the edge by the hood.
The wheels have some curb rash.
I no longer have most of the stock parts, including the spare, as the audio stuff is in the wheel well.

Things that will be thrown in that aren't on the car(stock parts, extras)
New front bumper cover for TMIC
Rear H4 brake upgrade
Stock air box
Stock catback - don't have downpipe
Extra Racing Sparco wheel.

I'm sorry, but that thing is hideous. There's no doubt in my mind-- stick with your TT or get another lower-mileage one.

Hence my dilemna. I don't NEED a bigger car, but sometimes it would be nice to have a little extra room. It's really not that big. A little bit bigger than an Impreza wagon.

I'd need to get it retuned though. We have shitty 91 octane in AZ and that car is tuned for 93. There's a couple stations around town that have 93 but that would be a pain in the ***.

Getting a lower mileage TT has crossed my mind too. This one has been fairly reliable though so far so I think I'd be fine tuning it.

If you buy another TT your going to be out on some money that you could of just spent ungrading the car to better parts that would negate some of the current mileage.

Right.

So maybe I'll just say screw it and hand my car over to Evolution Motorspots and hope for the best. Only bad thing is I'd need a beater for the month or so that they'd have it.
