I went to the shop today. I drove around for an hour and too scared to stop to ask(because all those gangs hanging around there) then finally got there. I took some information with me, and I am trying to decide which program to install. It doesn't say 93 or 100, instead, they have stock, pump, race, valet, kill, read. Which one do you think i should go for?? Besides, Mike hurts his back......hope he will be alright

Ya the shop is in the "getto" its kinda wierd, has over a million dollars in porshes but has a shop in the getto. Its wierd, but the stock is well the stock program, pump is your 91oct programming, race is the 100oct programing. Valet wont let the car go over a certian speed and rmps, and kill means that you have to have the handheld programmer to take it out of kill and start the car. I went with stock, pump, and race. Really all you need is stock, and pump. If you have race you have to have 100oct in the tank or you can risk blowing your motor.

Blowing the motor? that phrase is scary. Have you ever used your race before? is the octance number equal the number on the gas pump?? 91?? But I really wanted to try the race.......see how it goes

Yes the octane number is related to the number on the gas pump. You need to have at least 91 in the tank if you in "PUMP". If you are in "RACE" you need to have 100oct in the tank, but make sure that it is unleaded. Oklahoma likes to sell leaded gasat gas stations and that can cause problems if you use it in your car. The race really isnt that much of a difference (+10hp) when your dealing with a stock motor but once you go big turbo you can see good gains using a higher octane fuel and the correct tuning.
