Does Quattro/AWD work in reverse?
I had a hard time getting out of a field in reverse, but no problem forward, and it got me thinking that awd doesen't work in reverse. The halidex is a clutch/coulper and maybe it doesen't work backwords?? Am I completely wrong?
Any comments?

This link makes it sound like it doesn't matter if you're in reverse.
However it's not clearly stated. Also I'm unsure if this is the same generation of Haldex system we have in our cars.
Still a good read...

yeah it does work in reverse!!!
i was drifting up in the mountains last spring, when i first got my a4, and slid into a ditch, i only had traction to one wheel (Front 2 were in the ditch and right rear was about a foor off the ground) and still got out with no problem! it was pretty amazing actually!!
