is the tt electronically speed limited and if so does the apr flash/chip (or anyflash/chip)remove this limiter?

The car has a govenor and a chip will raise that and the redline, NOT eliminate them. Redline goes from 6800 to 72 or 7300 rpms i believe.

 

Has anyone tried to push this? If so I wonder what the power drop off was like?

 

erin you talking about running it out to 7k+ rpms? If so a 180 will have maybe 150whp chipped and 225, shouldnt be much more in awd.

 

Yea that is what I was thinking I was just wondering if anyone has acually ran it out to past 7K? I know I'm shifting at about 6300, all the K04 dynos I have seen this is where the power starts to go down so... never had a reason to run it past 7K, I didnt even know it would go that high, why did they change it to 7K? Top Speed?

 

I have no idea why you would need to take it there on a stock turbo unless you are racing and need to keep the rpms up. I think steve said something about him running it up to 7k so he didnt have to shift before a turn to keep speed up.
