oh so i ordered my ebay dp for my 180 fwd it went in fine but when i idle it shakes loud. does that mean i have a broken motor mount or something or do i need to take the little plate thing undernath off?

 

Its probably hitting the firewall cover. Just bend it back and if you dont have dogbone mount inserts yet, get them.

Did you order one of those inexpensive DPs from Ebay? They look ok from the picture, and sure are less expensive than others. I always wondered about them.

 

mine is and work perfect. Its just bent metal, cant really mess that up unless it doesnt fit. My $100 shipped dp fits and works pefectly.

Besides the Shaking it works great Sounds nice and feels good. sucks tho i only got to drive for like 10 mins i switched cars with my dad for the weekend so i could use his for work monday ill be drivin it all dayy

 

Its either the fender or bolt werent tight. You did reuse the stock bolts correct? What about gaskets?

 

Very easy install and I actually have that shattering noise too ... but i think it was the gasket for me

 

dont waste your effort with the gaskets, they just make things worse in the exhaust. If your having noise problems, its most likely the firewall cover

 

I have the exact same problem. Just installed 3" downpipe on 180fwd and cut the 2.25 outlet or whatever size it was off and ran full 3" pipe all the way through. I noticed there was a large vibration at around 1500 RPM that sounds like crap on acceleration and is similar to a 12inch subwoofer bass sounds on 1/3rd-1/2 volume. After removing the black metal piece that holds the exhaust in place in the middle section of the car the vibration was gone but the exhaust moves around too much now and also makes a metal hitting metal sound. I think you gotta custom tinker with the middle piece until you get it where it doesn't vibrate through the entire car.
