Default ECU Remap - AUDI TT 225

Hello guys and Happy New Year!

I have a TT 225bhp 2002 and I am thinking for an ecu remap. Is there a big difference in 2002 and 2003 engines for the 225 model?

I have seen that cincyTT in one of his threads mentioned the following companies to buy the chip from: GIAC, APR, Unitronics, REVO, and Nuespeed.

I was wondering if you could share with me your opinion or personal experience with any of these chips. Also horsepower and torque achieved would be great.

Recommendations are more than welcomed. If there is a place that I should be looking in the forum please let me know.

Thanks,
Chris.

unitronics, apr, and revo are probably the most popular.
you can check the FAQ section at the top of the page there is some information there.

all the stuff covered between engine codes and chips are listed in the FAQ and on the chip tuners websites.

Its the best $500 dollars you could spend on your car I would go with the company that will give you the most support, as they all make similar power.

Back in 2003, I had my Audi TT225 Remapped by Revo Technic, which I found fantastic, as it increased the BHP to 265.........I also had the optional 'Select' Serial Port Switch, giving me the option of switching between the Stock 225BHP & Remapped 265BHP............a nice idea if you have your Car Serviced by the Main Audi Dealer & want them to think its Standard.
The 'Select' Switch also has an Anti-theft feature on it, designed to disable the ECU itself.

I think that the Revo Remapp is : £399+vat
Optional 'Select' Serial Port Switch : £149+vat
