Its the same as opening up the exhaust post turbo, no change in turbo spining. To much flow preturbo can damage a turbo, thats done by to much psi.

bump... ok so, i think the exhaust is something like 2.2'? or something like that... should i wait to do this you think? because i am going to get a downpipe eventually and i think the cut out should go right after it...soo, should i just wait for the DP to do it? because the cutout will make it so i dont really need a full exhaust.

IMHO the stock exhaust sounds great and im just looking for performance with a DP and cutout will do....

i'm pretty sure the exhaust cutout/dump would work WAY better BEFORE the cat.. not after.

It can work but your last 02 sensor will throw a code, if you have a high flow cat, just throw it after your last 02 sensor aboutu 3" and enjoy your new power.
