Default engine clean-up tech

Trying to find a post, maybe not even on this forum, about some guy cleaning up the engine bay of his tt. Not making it shine, but removing and redirecting all the hoses and emissions stuff and whatnot. I think it was a sticky and maybe in a UK forum.
It had step-by-step instructions and tons of pictures…
Does anyone here know what im taking about???

You can also just get new hose and relocate everything...you won't have to worry about CELs or resistors this way...

yeah, but in some cases, all that crap you'd be relocating would be better relocated to a dumpster. Every time I remove something from my car, it runs better and better. She was one hurtin unit this spring.

haven't yet. I'd like to do the evap next. i have a evap code, and if i can pull the system to remove the code, awesome. N249 should be soon as well. think its F'ing with me. dunno how, but it is.

my newest weirdness is that if i roll on the throttle, i get really good acceleration. if i hammer it, acceleration sucks. boost stays the same regardless of the technique. N249? maybe not. still feel like pulling the system will help stabilize things.

Question

What opinions do you all have on this? Would a LiquidTT be able to erase the CEL codes?

This is normal...your car runs lean/stoich at part throttle then runs rich at WOT to prevent melting ****.

yeah, i realize that, but it was beyond that. Doesn't matter now, think I might have screwed up my ECU with a amperage spike jumping it off a battery charger. Everything APPEARS fine, but the car can't make any boost w/o severe misfiring. I can rev in neutral and it'll build 12lbs of boost, and studder at 4K RPMs (sound a bit like anti-lag?). Thing is... for all intents and purposes, my car is stock. Still cruises fine, I just got 30mpg coming home from Christmas.

Still looking for anything before I resort to buying a spare ECU to swap in and see if it does anything different.
