Default engine light on

i installed a k&n intake on my TT this afternoon and since its been running excellent but the engine light it on. We did disconnect wires inorder to take the airbox out but that was all in the instructions. My dad recommends getting the computer reset because he thinks that the sensors may have messed with the computer.

input?

It's like the highbeam one... except a less intense light and not blue.

there is symbol that is green located in the rpm display and is ALWAYS on when your lights (parking lights, headlights)are on. the highbeam is blue and directly in the center of the cluster. there is no add'l light that comes on with the fogs.

make sure everything is plugged in. if you want to reset your ECU you can unhook the battery for 15mins or so. once its hooked back up turn the key on, but dont start the car. wait for the whining to stop (throttle body alignment.) and then start the car. drive 20 or so miles and see if the CEL comes back.

^ please note that is cincy's knowledge that was passed to me.
