Engine Won't Turnover. Something "whirring".
I just recently bought a 2002 TTQ. This morning I pulled it out of the garage and parked it out front while loading it up to go to the mountain. When I went to start it again the engine would crank but wouldn't turn over.
I just went out to try to start it again - nothing. I popped the hood and took a look at the engine compartment. After a minute I heard a faint "whirring" noise. The car is turned off, but a very soft whirring noise is coming from something in the engine compartment towards the very front of the car on the passenger side of the engine...very close to the alternator (maybe the alternator?). I couldn't pinpoint which component was making the noise...anybody have a guess?
Anything I should do before having it towed to the shop?
Thanks!

that whining could be just your turbo timer (i think thats what its called) when you start up your car and turn it off, that continuous to work for about a minute or so. im not sure but ill just throw what i think might be the cause. it could be a bad fuel filter, if it cranks but no start. bad sparkplugs, or no gas maybe?
