Default Exhaust choices

Ok fellas I need some advice,

I want to make some more power and I know the downpipe is the next best thing for me. Thing is I dont want to have a loud exhaust. I spent the last few hours searching youtube and listening to different exhaust tones but some are with stock DP and some arent.

If I want to go with the 42dd dp, what exhaust can I get to keep it quiet ( a little rasp is fine)? Obviously I dont want to spend an arm and a leg but im assuming keeping the stock catback is going to restrict all the power I just freed up.

What are you guys running that is pretty quiet WITH a 3" downpipe?

deff get a cat and a res if you are worried about sound. The both will lower the dB level and the res will get rid of the raspy sound

That is about the only place in the US you can get them. They show up time to time so you have to be patient. If you send Diehlryan a pm, i think he has a email of someone there and they will put more up for sale.

oh i guess i forgot to ask...you said youre going for more hp? really the only exhaust upgrade that will be a noticeable difference is the downpipe...and if your going for quiet...why not just get the downpipe with the cat and see if that is enough sound for you? the catback wont really matter for power...

They are usually around $700 if i remember correctly. As for them making power, on stock boost you may not see much, but once you increase the airflow in, you need to increase the airflow out.
