I own a 2001 185hp TT Rdstr, and have 53,300mi. Thinking ahead, I know a 75k mile tune up is around $1700 (says the dealership) and was wondering if any of you have bought an extended warranty through a company. Good idea or no? It covers everything but wear and tear, but at the cost of roughly $2200.

I also have a problem with the oil light on the dash that keeps appearing. Audi dealer did an oil change, reset the light, but I have seen it flash once since then. I'm hoping I won't see it again, but it could be the oil pump they said. Since it's so time consuming to do this job of replacing the oil pump, (if it is the oil pump) what can I replace while they have everything taken apart. The timing belt? Trying to save costs of labor while I have it in the dealership, if it comes down to it. Thnks!!
