Default Extracting stripped wheel bolt?

Any ideas?

Broke two smaller sockets after tapping them on with a hammer and using my full size jack handle as a breaker bar.

I despise wheel bolts...anyone have a link to bolt to stud conversion?

is the outside totally stripped. if you can slide a high impact socket on try that. you can buy them at Kragen and the will never break and they sell them individually

LOL... not a chance. Thanks though

I had to use the jack handle (4' long) just to break the others loose, this one wasn't moving using the same method, so an easy out isn't likely to grip IMO.

I drilled it out, got the wheel off, gonna eat, then pull the old rotor off, weld a bigger nut onto whats left of the bolt and try again.

Worse comes to worse I run with 4 wheel bolts. I doubt i'll have trouble though doing it that way.

No worse than how my front was after it was installed by an incompetent fool. (not me :P )

That would have been a possibility, but no car to hit the store with until just now.

The wheel bolts are recessed over an inch into the wheel, as far as I can see, no way of heating it w/out damaging the wheel.

Hey I have an idea! Why don't ya put the rest of the wheel bolts back in and send Becca a text... I'm sure she wouldn't mind letting you use the lift and air tools!

I always loosen the lugs while all four tires are on the ground with the e-brake pulled, before putting the car into the air. You don't really need much leverage when gravity is on your side.

If you ever need a hand just ask. Even if I'm in Jersey it will take us about the same amount of time to get to the garage. Sure it's kinda out of the way, but could have had that wheel bolt out at F1 pit crew speed.

PS- I found the right gun, so no more air ratchet!
