Fender Lip Height Of Cars On H&R Springs
Yes... I'm still battling with the conundrum of whether to pop for coil-overs to get the ride height I want or to swap out my Hotchkis springs for H&R springs.
I've noticed the tendency for the H&R springs that the advertised drop is more mildly stated than the actual drop. At least this is the case with the B6 A4 cars. Both my S4 and my Avant dropped more than I thought they would.
My question here is what is the fender lip height of the guys running the H&R's? I'm currently at 26" front & rear. I'd like to see the car closer to 25" ground to lip centered.
Anyone here running the H&R's who's measured their lip height?
Cheers

I don't have H&R's. When I bought my springs it was either H&R or Eibach Pro Kit. I was told the H&R drop was the same as the eibach with the difference that Eibach gives a stiffer ride.
So I went with Eibach, it was supposedly 1.5 to 2 inch drop. I will tell you this, the drop after installing them was not what was advertised. Only my rear looks lower by 3/4 inch as for the front I saw no change.
Now I am kicking myself for not going with coil overs from the beginning. My 2 cents.

Where did you get your H&R springs?

^ x2.
i ran H&R reds for 6 months then sprang for coilovers. springs will never do a car it's lowering justice unless it's tein s-techs or tanabe df210.
in which, unfortunately aren't made for our cars.

I'm at stock height right now (please don't laugh) and I'm looking for a 1.5''-2'' drop. Anyone looking to move their leftover springs along? Since you kids are all going coilovers, I figured you'd have a set lying around that I might pick up for cheap??? Maybe???
(Not trying to thread-jack... sorry if it seems that way)

^ on H&R reds, i dont have the fender lip but i do have the wheel gap estimated 'measurements'
i believe it was 2-3 finger gap rear and 2 finger gap fronts from wheel well lining to tire. these were also on 18"'s on 225/40's.
