ok so i just got an 2000 tt cuattro 1.8. i want to start modding it but i am not realfamiliar with these cars. so what should my first move be? i am thinking about a chip i heard they add alot of hp. i know that exhaust will help too but i kinda like the stock sound. so what do you guys think, your the experts on modding these cars. thanks

 

If you want a bit more go, then chip it (APR is great), and if the suspension could use something then get a rear sway bar 19 or 22mm. If you chip it you need a new diverter valve. A VTDA intake from modshack is worth the money too. Also if you dont want a loud exhaust get a euro sport catback, all this will be a good start.

 

get the chip, look at APR, GIAC, REVO, and my personal favorite Unitronic. I dont like Unitronic because it is better than the other chips, it seems they are all about the same only small differences. I like them because they still support the little guy and his custom turbo kit. The other three got too rich and dont really support the independants.
