Default Florida people and your oil

I just got a TT, and in the owners book it says the car comes with 0w-30. It also says to run 5w-30 (that is what I have in my jetta 1.8t) I know that this is a thin oil for florida, and the guy at the auto parts store today said I shouldnt run it, I need 5w-40 (the book also says this is fine). What do you guys use.The Jetta and TT are my first turbo cars and I dont want to fubar anything up. I put the 5w-40 in and will see how the engine feels ove the next few days.

And dont flame me. I did a search and got one topic worth anything. and it still didnt answer my question.

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure 5w-40 is the oem oil audi uses... I'm in a hot climate and run 0w-40 myself.
