Default Fresh air filter (Hepa Filter)

Have anybody changed the Fresh Air Filter?
The fan that runs constantly inside the dashboard is making a low hummmmm. Is not too bad but I don't like it. I was told that when the fresh air filter needs to be replaced, the fun runs at higher speed and that is the reason it becomes noisier.

If anybody has performed this task, please share your knowlage.
Thank you

Take dry air, like you would use to clean the dust out of a key board, and blow out that fan. Dust buildup in there makes it louder. Really doesn't have much to do with the fresh air filter. If you want/need to change the filter though, its really not hard.

Open the hood, pull back the rubber gasket on the firewall, on the passenger side of the vehicle, flip up the plastic cover below the windshield, exposing the filter. Pull out the old, put new in, and you're set.

Is the fresh air filter different than the regular air filter? I wonder if that's what I was thinking was my air filter and a new one wasn't even close to the size I needed. Is the fresh filter just a tray that a filter sits in?

If it is different. Where is the regular air filter located?

The engine air filter is different. It is lockated on the drivers side of the engine compartment. It is in a box that is held on by two phillips screws.

in the center of the AC controls there is a small vent with a strange vibrating noise...what is that vent used for and what can i do to fix it? i pulled the radio out and stuck my finger behind it and i feel it vibrating but when my finger is on it, the noise stops.

Thats the air sampling fan for the climate control. Pulls cabin air in, and reads the temp, so the car knows whether you need more heat, or AC. As I've mentioned before, try blowing some dry air into the little vent, its probably dirt and dust built up on the fan thats making it vibrate.
