It takes a little more than that. Also, his before and after pic have different lighting. Can't see dick on my paint job with low light. But in direct sunlight it's a mess.

lol no it doesnt. I worked at a detail shop for 2 years. a high speed buffer and some good compound will take swirls out. A good compound will take some scratches out too.
but if you dont know how to buff a car you will make it worse

im doin mine this week sometime. My bro got a high-speed buffer for his b-day. Im gonna clay bar and buff my car... Then im going to throw a fat coat of wax on it

well if they are real deep you wont get them out with a buff you will need a repaint. sometimes a good wetsand and buff.... We never did that stuff where i worked though. I just know it can be done.

for light scratches and swirls an abrasive buffing compound will do the trick
