There are airbags in the piller. I would be afraid of gauges shooting me in the face.

Is there really airbags in the a pillar? I have a 2000 180 quattro and i just put a double a pillar gauge pod for a suprawith oil press and boost. I would like to keep them because it looks really nice but i really don't want them taking my eye out.

The new TTs have side pillar airbags, but ours don't, they are in the seats.

I put mine on the dash. A gauge cup held down with some 3M adhesive. Looks nice and is not hard to see like the gauge or column mount.

~my .02 though
