I have a 2001 Audi Quatro TT . The glove box lever just popped off in my hand along with a spring. I see, from forums, that I have to take off the glove box to get to the back to get to the broken plastic activator, (?). I have found no comprehendable instructions to do this. This appears to be a common problem with Audi cars. Has someone out there done this?
Thank you for your reply and your help. We removed the box without breaking it, a miracle. Can't figure out how to get to the mechanism that is broken behind this polished aluminum piece. No broken pieces of plastic have fallen out so far. Not a good photo but am attempting to show from where the latch popped off. Another angle attempting to show that the lever inside slides but does not activate to right side pin. Back side of the glove box, probably not helpfull.
