I'll probably make a set of 8mm wires to go with them, just for the hell of it.
And where do you plan to use the 8mm wires?

Lol, good call. Forgot it was direct ignition. I read the writeup on making your own wires awhile back and have been wanting to try it since.

I'll put on my dumbass hat for the day.

Ah, well. Wonder if theres any options for boot instert upgrades on the TT. I had some beryllium spark springs on my old J...

The 1.8T doesn't use "Plug wires" unless you have an aftermarket external coilpack. The coilpacks fit over the top of the spark plugs directly on the top of the head.

Doing mine on Thursday - got a new set of Hitachi coil packs from ECS Tuning - my baby's a misfiring unhappy camper for3 weeks now - just before Christmas. Took it to a stealership last Monday and they wanted $350 to replace them - with no new plugs! Had it for a week and did nothing - I sent a truck to retrieve her and paid the $85 for diagnosing the problem - though XCLR8TT told me that the week before - thanks, Steve, I'm a dumbass [sm=loser.gif]

Got the packs w/bolts and heat shield with 2 day shipping for $200. Now I just need plugs!
