I wonder how many tCarbon people are going to start hating on me for my comment.
lol... Nah, it's okay to not like it. I love my tCarbon, not so sure I'd dig the 180 kit (looks like a horrible install). I haven't had a single issue yet. Then again, I have a fan out and wouldn't know if I had another cooling problem if I did. hmm... I definitely like it though. Made a huge difference. -shrugs-

So between Tcarbon, APR or Forge. Who makes the better intercooler?

RE: GodSpeed FMIC

the tCarbon is only good for the stock turbo, the APR uses a Spearco ic core (i do believe) which is a little denser and Forge uses a nice tube and fin ic. The APR should handle the most power and the Forge will have the least pressure drop. Just depends on what turbo setup you plan on fo which kit to use.

Mac how do you like your revo chip and how much did you pay for it? Sorry to be off topic

Thanks Cincy for the Quick reply and good advice as usual ;).
Not sure what options are out there for the 225 as far as Turbos is concerned.
For now I am just going to run the stock Turbo that came on my o4 TT.
So far I only have a 42 draft design DP, Blueflame exhaust, Revo Tune Stage II, 4 bar FPR, K&N cone filter on the stock MAF, N75R valve, Hyperboost DV and a Dieselgeek Short shifter.
My Mods for next year will be a FMIC of some sort, Eibach Pro kit with Koni FDS Damper/strutts,
a Boost Gauge and maybe some sort of intake.

Cincy, do you think the tcarbon FMIC would be worth it or should I safe up for an APR or Forge unit? Just don't want to throw my money away for something that wont gain anything.

Thanks again for your help and advice!

All 3 will be fine with stock. The FOrge and APR will be much better suited for stock to even much larger turbos. Just dont buy one and then get stuck if you want to go with a larger turbo in the future.

RE: GodSpeed FMIC

A buddy of mine got a Godspeed FMIC core for his 1g DSM. His was the 'anodized black' finish that didn't really look so hot in person. It's pretty heavy, and is comparable to a cheaper ebay core that another friend of mine had purchased earlier in the year for a turbo'ed Mirage. But it was cheap and as long as the welds hold up it'll prolly serve its purpose, much more so on our cars since he'll be making more power than a chip would give us.
