Default goofed-up seatbelts

OK, get ready, this is really earth-shaking; anybody notice that their seatbelt buckle should to be turned the other way (reversed on the belt)? When you latch it up the belt ends-up twisted. Wonder why Audi chose to do it this way? It's the same on both sides.

Wasn't like that on my 2000, IS like that on my 2001.
Im probably gonna just unbolt the belt where it attaches below the door, and flip it if I can.

Tried that, it doesn't work; the floor bracket is not symmetrical, and you can't slide the buckle all the way off because it gets thick down there.

Any way to just switch the driver's seat belt with the passenger's seat belt?
Dunno if it's possible but that should work right?

Yet another reason why I love my 2000 COUPE!

Edit: fergot coupe

or you could just add some harnesses. I may have to leave these in for those "Timid" rides (you know who you are!)

Great idea!Maybe the Hungarians just mixed them up when the car was built. Only problem is you've got to pull the rear side panels to get access.
