nevermind, i got my BOV on today... yes my TT now sounds like a semi.. it is super bad *** guys

Are you running a different turbo or somthin man cuz a Bov will mess stuff up on the stock audi systems...... hope you knew that or are just kiddin about the bov lol

... ok first off, like BadLuckAudi said (and pretty much everyone will say) you don't want to use a non recirculated BOV (also known as a vta, or vent to atmosphere) on the 1.8T, the engine management doesnt account for the loss of air to the atmosphere in its programing... why is this bad? say you chip your car and and have a boost controller or a N75j or something to make you boost aroudn 19lbs or so... if the BOV vents that the car may stall, and guess what, you're still driving the same speed :-\

second off, I have never heard a semi with a blow off valve, maybe that is just me though..

Lol I think he's talking about the air brakes on a semi, semis dont have bovs lol

first off its a she, second -you guys dont get it,
and third it does, but its made by esc a.k.a euro car and its made especially for the 180 HP TT's so no worries. and i already know all about the no no's of a typical BOV

*or are you talking about the Forge Diverter Valve you mentioned in a previous thread? Big difference in diverter valves and BOV's....

hey i recently traded in my A6 for a 2001 TT 225 quattro and got a great deal on it as long as nothing goes wrong with it ... knock knock on wood anyway i want to get a bov but if i get the forged diverter valve will that muffle the sound??? please email me or post back if anyonee knows.

Yes a diverter valve is going to be quieter than a BOV, but too bad, unless you wanna screw up your car. If its got a MAF sensor, you shouldn't use a BOV, and the TT has a MAF.
