got my timing belt letter today

Default got my timing belt letter today

Called the dealer to make sure I understand everything... my TT ('03) will have t-belt inspected for free, but I dunno if they will replace it for free if it is wearing out. If there is t-belt failure from now til 105,000 miles, they will replace and repair anything caused by the t-belt failure. They will reimburse anybody who has paid for the t-belt service if they have proof

This is for 00-03, regardless of in service date.

Anybody else get one or have comments?

What!? Will they reimburse you if you got it done somewhere other than the dealership? I need details! Lol. I don't get home til 9 tonight. I wanna check for my letter!

yeah, they said if you can provide proof, regardless of mileage, they will reimburse

I'm sure it's a bit more complicated than that, but we'll see

my concern is what they will say about a car w/mods (chipped)

what was the original factory warranty length for time/mileage?

the paper says "Warranty Extension for 2000-2003 Model Year Audi A4 or Audi TT Equipped with 1.8L Turbo Engine"

i'm pretty sure the SLIGHTEST mods will negate the warranty.

what do i need to do? Should i go to my audi dealer and talk to them about it? I have neve been serviced at an audi dealer cuz i just got my car so i doubt i will get a letter. I have 89k and it has not been changed.

call 'em and ask what they need you to do... I'm sure all dealers are aware of this situation

us poor guys have to sell the stock parts to make up for cost of upgrades
