Default got new rims, what tires though?

Hey guys, I just picked up some used Axis Supermesh (discontinued) 18x8 rims. Silver with no curb rash or noticeable damage at all (maybe some TINY scratches from a "bad" towel or something). I like them but I was wondering, what size tires do I put on them now? I'm trying to figure out a good tire size that wont rub but also looks nice with my coilovers (Bilstein PSS9's).

These pictures I found are 19's...

Ok guys, I got some used tires. They were $275 and the guy met me up. 10/32nds trade left on some Bridgestone Potenza RE050A. 225/40/18. So I'm going to be mounting these tires on the rims today and hopefully I can get them on with an alignment within a few days.

I was told~wider=good, larger diameter=bad. Unless I'm mistaken, in which case I might be in trouble. LOL. But man does it look sexy.

I don't know about audi's AWD system, but when I used to own an STi, a very small difference in diameter (3/32 in) could cause driveline bind.

^ wider doesn't affect the haldex necessarily, but diameter does. i believe haldex said there was a ~7% diameter ratio from the fronts to the rears. imo if it's the same size rim, i'd run the same size tire and push the rears out w/ spacers to save headache if the haldex starts acting up

They are 40 series all around. How would the car act if it was messing up the haldex?
