Talking gt3071r ? on stock rods

i want a gt3071r. i already got priced on the kit and also got priced on the gt2871r kit. i really want the gt30 and my stock turbo is shot. i'm was wondering if i can get it and run low boost untill i get my rods in. i would be runnin it on stock rods for at most 3 months. also what is the least amount of psi a gt30 can push???

you can run a 7psi spring off the wastegate or use a boost controller and turn it down... you could run 1psi if you wanted to.

is there a psi that would be safe with a gt30 and stock internals???

i looked and i found some one that was runnin 1.5bar with stock. said he was good. doin what i wanna do wait till rods could be done. i don't really know what 1.5 bar is. looked it up and it said 21psi i thin k that is too high. i was thinking runing like 16 psi. but waiting to see if it's doable. the shop that i talked to said 15 is the least that the gt30 could run.

just dont boost? haha.

you should really get new rods to use the turbo to its potential. and a fmic, and clutch, and manifold(s), and tune, and injectors, and intake, and oil lines... you know, that stuff

Running 15-17psi fine (should be around 280-300whp). You wont have the car running long enough to where low psi will harm the engine.

just stick with the 3071r. When the time comes for more power, you can up the psi, then other upgrades like intake manifold, ported/aeb head, and cams.

I don't see why you would go through the trouble of a BT install when you have to do an engine overhaul a few months down the line for rods. If you like wrenching that much go for it, but I would definelty just wait and do it all at once. It seems stupid to do twice the work and either keep the boost down or risk blowing up something if you "just try more boost for a few minutes"

and 1 bar = 14.7psi...
1.5 bar + 3071r + stock internals = stupid imo
