haldex blue?
So why do I see such a demand for the blue haldex controller? Does it allow you to put more power to the rear wheels? Why are they so desirable? And are they worth the money?
Here check a users review about the controller over on fourtitude.

I am thinking about going this route as well.

Stock controller is conservative, reacts to slip, and keeps most of the power at the front wheels (80/20ish?).
Blue controller is more aggressive, is proactive (takes signal from throttle position sensor, and knows you're on the gas before the engine starts making more power), and allows up to a 50/50 power split.
Car pushes less out of corners, therefore feels more neutral. Its definitely an improvement in handling.
I'm glad I have one. Got mine before the price jump, dunno if I'd spring for one now unless I was out of options for suspension upgrades. (which actually, I think I am out of suspension options)

someone I know actually modifies the internals of the haldex diff to do the same thing but with a few more options for a few hundred cheaper..... maybe thats just my price though.... just thought people should know there are ways around it... but my friend is also an engineer who has been working on VAG cars for 20 years..
Your friend have a website?
I still have my old diff, was planning to crack it open and screw with the LSC for a manual locked/unlocked setup. Not for me, but for those, like my friend, who are taking FWD cars and making them AWD. His oldskool Rabbit doesn't have the sensors required to even have a chance of using an operational Haldex controller.
I'd be interested to see what your friend has come up with.

No worries if he won't. I'm sure I can figure something out myself if thats what it comes to. Not exactly high on my priority list considering I have a working blue controller, and I'm happy with it.
A website or something would be cool though.
