haldex is responsible for how much power goes to which end... example, your stock setup for quattro is ~80front-20back wheels as far as power... if you get the blue haldex then its closer to 50-50... and then the orange haldex puts more power to the rear wheels than the fronts...

only an option for quattros though, and im sure they work with both auto and manual

Nope, the Blue and Orange both use a 50/50 power distribution, but the Orange stays locked under all conditions, whereas the Blue disengages (like stock) when you hit the brakes or the clutch. Also, there is no way for there to be a rearward power bias, the Haldex is a parasitic add-on to the FWD manual or DSG transmission...The only "auto" TT that had quattro was the DSG; the Tiptronic (only available on the 180) was strictly FWD. See cincy's FAQ on the main page, or my Vortex one in my sig

not that it isn't safe, you just need to know how to drive.

it'll induce oversteer much easier in low traction situations (or some high traction situations, depending on what you're doing).

Basically, engine braking will be braking the rear wheels as well, instead of just the fronts. Kinda like pulling the ebrake a bit in a turn, it could potentially send you spinning.

I very much enjoy my blue controller. Word to the wise, change your haldex fluid more frequently with the blue controller. You're working the LSC more, and the oil will contaminate faster (from my experiences)

I didn't think of that until after I had to replace my LSC due to a slipping clutch pack.

Don't know the history on the car, and I've heard of LSC's failing, but I DO know the fluid looks darker over the 20K interval with the blue controller over the stock controller.

Better safe than sorry.
