Default Has anyone fitted the alteeza tails

I hate the look of the altezza/ euro tails but i want to tint my tail lights so i figured they would be a good start if fittment is not a problem. I want the tint dark enough where you wont see through it too easily during the day but also light enough to let the light out. the black base of the Altezza tails would be ideal since its already dark enough in the casing and they wouldnt look half bad tinted but the quality of fit and plastic material is what i'm worried about. I want to keep my stock ones if needed to swap back over.

I would just buy an extra set of stock ones. They are the same price now. I had my stock tail lights tinted and it looks kick *** on a black car.

i guess i was reffering to the ones on e-bay for about 140 shipped. Stock i see them go for about 150-200. the main reason i was looking at these ones is the fact that the outer cover is clear so you wont have the red bleed through. This will allow for lighter tint overall, resulting in more brake light. All this is assuming they light up about the same as stock.

Aftermarket "Altezza's" are known for their substandard quality of plastics usually resulting in fogging over time from less than adequate sealing. That being said, I've had a set on a previous car and never had that problem.

I figure, if you're going to paint them.. fogging would be a non-issue. So go for whatever's cheaper I guess.

Not to threadjack you here, but it's sort of related...

Anyone know if it's possible to switch the bulbs in the stock housing between the tail light and the turn signal?

I was thinking that I'd rather have the circles become the turn indicator and the strip on the bottom to represent the tail lights.

the bulbs may not be the same but you could just cut and swap the power wire. the ground wire can remain as is.
