Default Hello Everyone

Hello All,

I'm the new owner of a 2001 Silver TT quattro 225hp. Just took it home about an hour ago here in Las Vegas. hehe It had 41k miles on it and i got it out the door tax and lic included for 15k which i thought was an ok deal. Oh, they also are paying for my registraion...Yay!

Now need to search for keyless entry remotes since the one didn't come with any.

Congrats on the new TT!

I got my car with 3 sets of keys... 2 with the buttons and 1 which I call the valet key (not sure what it's really for, but it has what looks like a screw on it).
Definitely go back and demand the other 2 keys!

I'm heading back today to do some demanding of the Remote keyless.. heheh But, I'm pretty sure they will say "This car was used and we only have what the previous owner gave us".. If thats the scenerio then I'll have to order via ebay or from dealer in due time. Seems I only got "one" Valet key.

you should have at least one switchblade key. I got two and the plastic valet key.

I would be extremely pissed if i was you, but then again, it looks like you got a pretty sweet deal.

if you only have the valet key im pretty sure you cant open the glove box or trunk with it, im not sure so check. if thats the case demand it from them. i tend to stay away from those ebay keys, ive heard (heard being the key word) they dont always work. i never tried them but that is what it is.

the trunk can be opened from the inside of the car without a key.

Thanks for the fast responses .... I was about to call but think it might be better to ask in person .. I've learned in the past that anyone can promise anything pretty much over the phone...

You need the remote keys to arm the alarm system as well.

Locking the car from the inside doesn't turn the alarm on?
Sure it would suck if it did, then when you opened the door it went off... Just wondering...
