Default Hello everyone new to forum and quick question

Hello everyone I'm new to the forum I just bought a 2000 TT 180 Quattro it'a a great car about as good as my 944 Turbo just not as expensive. I just have one small question I bought a Forge 004 Blow-off valve and when the engine is cold and I go to shift it will back-fire. I'm just wondering is it normal to do that and will it hurt anything. Thank you foryour advice.

The car adds in more fuel at start up, if you dont have a cat, its more noticable. You can either wait till its warm or find someone or get your own vagcom cable and lower fuel for startup and itshouldnt backfire.
