Default Help!!

I just tried to turn on my Audi and the key turned, all the electronics turned on, but the engine did not start. I then tried to turn it off to try again, but the car would not turn off, the radio remained on, the air, and the intruments. No matter what I did, whether the key is in or out, the electronics will not shut off and the engine will not turn over. I disconnected the battery since it was to only way I could spare my battery from dieing. Anyone had this problem? What should i do?

ha, my brothers 924 was screwy too. the key had to be in JUST the right spot, or all the lights would turn off. Hitting a bump in the road at 65mph at night has never been so alarming.

anyway, yeah, ignition switch.
