As an introduction, this is my first Audi and the entire turbo scene is completely new to me. Anyway, the malfunction indicator light recently turned on. Along with that, I've noticed that it sounds differently between shifts or when the boost is released. It sounds almost like a BOV sound.I'm not sure if its a loose orfaulty DV. Should I go to the dealer? If you guys could give me soome ideas or insight, it would be great.

 

Go to an autozone and have them scan for the CEL code... then post it back in this thread.

 

hmm... almost sounds like the top hose on your diverter valve is off or something... idk, hmm... mine sounded a little BOVish though stock anyways so yea. a code will help haha
