Default Help, Need a Second Key

I bought my 2001 Audi TT used. It only came with one key pad. I really need a second key. Is this something I am going to have to go to the dealer for? I live 150 miles from the closest one.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

doubt they'll ship, you could be sending a key to someone who wants the easiest way to steal a car.

Gonna have to make that trip.

Doesn't the key have to be programed?

You will have to take it into the dealer to get it programmed at least I did for my 2001. The dealer said they need the car if the dash had a little key icon on it. The icon shows when all the lights on the dash light when you have the key in the ignition and turned to accessories.
Same scenario for me...bought the car used with one key. The cost was 250.
